Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Best Driving School ("we", "us") collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit bestdrivingschool.us, enrol in a course, book a road test, or contact us. We are a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) licensed driving school located at 8901 Independence Pkwy Suite 10, Plano, TX 75025. You can reach us at (469) 709-7613.

By using our website or services you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or submit information through it.

2. Information you give us

Enrollment and booking. When you enrol in a course or book a road test we collect the student's name, date of birth, gender, school attended, mobile and home phone numbers, home address and email address; the parent or guardian's name, email address and phone number for teen students; the student ID or permit details the form asks for; the course selected; and the lesson or test dates and times you choose.

Student information form. To prepare state paperwork we may ask for the student's full name, phone number, date of birth, driver license or permit number, the completion dates of the Impact Texas Teen Drivers (ITTD) or Impact Texas Young Drivers (ITYD) programs, whether the written exam has been passed, and DE-964 or ADE-1317 certificate control numbers.

Contact form. When you send us a message we collect your name, email address, phone number if you provide it, the subject and the message itself.

Account. Enrolling online creates a student account identified by the email address on the enrollment. Account passwords are stored in hashed form. If you are asked to set or change a password, choose one that you do not use elsewhere.

3. Payment information

Online payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number is entered on Stripe's secure checkout page and is never received or stored by us. We keep a record of the amount paid, the course purchased, the date, the Stripe checkout reference, and the receipt we email to you. Stripe's handling of your payment details is governed by its own privacy policy.

If you choose to pay in person, we record your reservation and the payment you make at our office.

4. Information collected automatically

When you visit the website, our servers and the analytics and advertising services described in section 6 record information such as your IP address, browser type, device, the pages you view, the links you click, how you arrived at the site, and the date and time of your visit. Some of this is collected using cookies and similar technologies.

Google reCAPTCHA protects our contact form from automated abuse. It analyses browser and interaction data to tell people apart from bots, and its use is subject to Google's privacy policy and terms of service.

5. Children and teen students

Many of our students are under 18. Information about a teen student is provided by, or with the consent of, a parent or legal guardian as part of enrollment, and we use it only to deliver the course, schedule instruction, and complete the records Texas requires of a driver education provider.

Our website is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 without a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has provided us information without consent, contact us at (469) 709-7613 and we will delete it.

6. Cookies, analytics and advertising

We use the following third-party services on the website. Each sets or reads cookies or similar identifiers in your browser:

Google Analytics 4 measures how visitors use the site: which pages are viewed, how visitors arrive, and which actions they take. Data is shared with Google under its privacy policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing tell us when a visit that began with one of our ads leads to an enrollment, and may show you our ads on other websites. You can control ad personalisation in your Google Ads Settings.

Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) records that you visited the site or completed an enrollment so that we can measure our advertising and show relevant ads on Meta platforms. Meta may combine this with your Meta account. You can adjust this in your Facebook and Instagram ad preferences.

Microsoft Clarity records how pages are used, such as where visitors click and scroll and how they move through the enrollment form, as heatmaps and session replays that help us improve the website. Clarity masks what you type into forms. Its use is subject to Microsoft’s privacy statement.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The website will still work, though some features such as staying signed in to a student account may not.

7. How we use your information

We use the information described above to: enrol you in the course you chose and assign an instructor; schedule, confirm and reschedule lessons and road tests; process payments and send receipts; issue and report the certificates and records that TDLR and the Texas Department of Public Safety require; respond to your enquiries; send you information about your course and our services; keep the website secure and prevent fraud and abuse; understand how the website is used and improve it; and measure and manage our advertising.

8. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:

Service providers who process it on our behalf: Stripe for payments; Google for analytics, advertising, reCAPTCHA and the spreadsheet where student information form submissions are stored; Meta for advertising measurement; our email delivery provider for receipts and confirmations; and our cloud storage provider, where receipts are kept.

Our instructors, who receive the student's name, contact details and scheduled lesson times so that they can deliver the course.

State agencies, including TDLR and the Texas Department of Public Safety, when a course completion, certificate or road test result has to be reported, and otherwise where the law requires it.

Legal and safety reasons, when we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with a law, court order or lawful request, to protect our rights or the safety of a student, instructor or the public, or in connection with a sale or reorganisation of the business.

9. How long we keep it

Enrollment, attendance, certificate and payment records are kept for as long as Texas driver education rules require a licensed school to retain them, and afterwards for as long as we need them for accounting, tax and legal purposes. Contact form messages are kept while we deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards. Analytics data is retained according to the settings of the service concerned.

10. Security

The website is served over HTTPS, card details are handled by Stripe rather than by us, passwords are stored hashed, and access to student records is limited to staff who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

11. Your choices and rights

You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it where we are not required to keep it. Texas residents may also have the right, under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, to obtain a copy of their data and to opt out of targeted advertising. To exercise any of these rights contact us at (469) 709-7613 or write to us at 8901 Independence Pkwy Suite 10, Plano, TX 75025. We will need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.

You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us. We will still send you emails needed to deliver your course, such as schedules and receipts.

12. Links to other websites

The website contains links to third-party sites such as Stripe, Google, Meta and Texas state agencies. Their privacy practices are their own, and we encourage you to read their policies.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services, the tools we use, or the law change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be posted on this page, and continuing to use the website after a change means you accept the revised policy.

14. Contact us

Questions about this policy or about your information can be sent to (469) 709-7613, or by post to Best Driving School, 8901 Independence Pkwy Suite 10, Plano, TX 75025.
